Laura Farwell is an Associated Consultant who works with Orrington
Strategies on a project basis. Laura has over ten years of management
consulting experience in business strategy, market analysis and segmentation,
new product and services design, and organizational design, development,
and change management. Her engagements have spanned The Americas,
Europe, and Asia, and included clients in service, high-technology, and
consumer goods industries.
As a Project Director at The Cambridge Group, she led growth strategy
engagements for consumer goods, financial services, and telecommunications
clients. At Sibson & Company (now part of Segal & Co.) she managed
organizational strategy projects and change initiatives for clients in high-technology
and services industries. Previously, at Booz Allen Hamilton,
she worked on market strategy and operations management assignments in consumer
goods, insurance, and other services industries.

Laura has taught Change Management for the part-time MBA program at DePaul
University and Business Communications at Madison Area Technical College.
Her publications include articles in London’s Financial Times on managing
organizational dimensions in high-growth and entrepreneurial firms; and
in Insight, the journal of the Illinois CPA Society, on managing professional
services firms.
Laura received her MBA from INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France, where she
was awarded the Cartier Global Marketing Scholarship. She earned her
PhD at Princeton University, specializing in Medieval English and Italian
Literature, and her BA cum laude from Yale University in mathematics
and English.
